I do use toilet paper . Found it's more absorbant and softer then the napkins or q-tips I was using to get him to potty, so I started keeping a roll right where I feed him. Before I start I tear off several sheets, so I don't have to put him down once we start. I wipe his face after every meal and clean him up a bit, cause the goat milk mix gets sticky and I don't think that would be very comfortable.
Barge away! Everyone here has been great . Seriously I really appreciate the help. Butchie is my first, and you all feed 30 of these buggers at a time. I don't know how you do that. I panic and race to the board every time he spooks me with something new . My computer is on almost non-stop cause this place is my lifeline right now. Even my mom suggests I post here to see what you all will say. And in between, I catch up with stray kitty rescues, chipmunks in garages, sick guinea piggies, canadian squirrels, well, you get the idea .
I am familiar with Baytril after having rats with respiratory issues. Even then it was so touch and go with them.
Hoping I won't need it but hoping it comes quickly in case he does get sick (should have ordered it last week; procrastinator that I am). I am really hoping he doesn't get sick. IF he gets sick, about how long before he would start clicking/showing other symptoms?
He is due for a feeding and I am not looking forward to it; first time for that. Just checked him and he is still asleep so maybe I will let him be for another half hour or so. He looks so cozy .

How old were Willow and Reilly? Wow how scary to have it happen so often and even with you being so careful with her. Did they turn out ok?
12:50am feeding and no sneezing or sputtering!! . We went REAL SLOW. Butchie would like to have a few words with whoever had that idea . He kept pawing at the syringe/nipple wondering why it was so slow! I only gave him 3cc's so may give him a bit more in a few hours.
LOVE the names Willow and Reilly, especially Willow. I had a parakeet named Willow; one of my oops babies. She and her sister, brother and Daddy now live at my former co-worker/friend's house. Willow was the only one who didn't get renamed at her new home. She was the oldest of 7; all survived .
