Joey is doing quite well, eating some solid food and still liking the formula. Sometimes he politely refuses, and other times he latches on and won't let go!! Funny boy. In between he bounces and plays and he is very good with Butchie. I do keep them separate because Joey is still a lot more active, but they have wrestled and snuggled .
A couple questions. First, I am planning on buying more syringes and nipples. Are there appropriate ones I can use for Joey without risk he will swallow them? He eats well out of the syringes I have most of the time, but sometimes he does end up sneezing milk out his nose (lungs are clear; I check both boys a few times a day whether they have any issues or not). I just wonder if a nipple could make things easier for the tyke .
He is eating salad mix, morning o's (similar to cheerios), and apple well. Not so fond of banana, snap peas, broccoli, cauliflower, or carrot quite yet. Getting there with Kale. Greens are mixed with a wee bit coconut oil. Maybe I should try that with the other foods. He also nibbles the dog biscuit I have in there (I replace it every couple of days). He plays, is active, and gains anywhere from 2 to 10 grams a day, usually 4 or 5. I am still debating the rodent block, buying versus making as in the sticky I saw. I have limited money so was thinking making them might be more cost effective, although I don't have the whey powder and would need to get the vitamins.
I am running low on the 32/40, so will need to switch to the 20/50 soon. Can I mix together to start converting or would it be better to mix a bit of each and convert that way?
I have a calcium question or two as well but may open a new post topic for that later.
Will post some pictures and maybe videos in the next post .
